Wednesday afternoon is when the Euchre card decks come out at Strand Social Club as multiple teams of two players try to outsmart their opponents.

Euchre is a game of both strategy and luck as you never know what cards you will be dealt so everyone has a chance of winning.

But, as your partner could be any other of the players, that is also a chance you take too, because, as with every card game, some players are better than others.

Entry is a mere £3 with the larger split of the prize pot being played for by the final two partnerships.
